Starbucks just got me to do what they want & they don’t even pay me.

They got me to complete an action that I otherwise would not have done had I not downloaded their app. If you are unfamiliar with the Starbucks App, it makes it too easy to order your favourites especially in this cold weather we are having (props if you’re from Canada!).

As I sit here eating my “Sous-Vide Red Pepper Egg Bites”, loving my life before my 9 a.m. kicks in, I’m reflecting back on this impulse purchase that now seems entirely right. Looking back: it wasn’t an entire impulse purchase because I had decided last night that I would hit up Starbies for breakfast upon my early arrival into work paired with an Earl Grey tea.

This is not a normal breakfast for me, rather a treat of sorts. I try not to eat breakfast out because I live so close to home but on these cold days where the work seems to pile up — a change of pace if you will, every now and again doesn’t seem so bad.

My journey into sous-vide egg bites and tea was also paired with yesterday’s Americano and here’s where it all went downhill.
