Don’t Under Estimate The $5 Bill
It’s worth more than you think.
Have you ever thought: What if you saved every single $5 bill I ever received?
If I saved the blue ones (I’m Canadian), I’m sure I’d have enough for the bank to suspect I was laundering.
If I had saved all of those $5, there seemingly wouldn’t be any:
$5 lattes from Starbucks.
2 for $5 chocolate bars.
$5 scratch off lottery tickets.
$5 for fries in the cafeteria when I was 13.
$5 add-on items from Amazon to qualify for free shipping.
Any other extra check out concession products.
I could go on but I want to get to the point quickly.
My parents always told me “save your money because you’ll truly need it one day”.
Today being December 18, 2020 — looking to buy a house in Toronto is that one day.
This year would’ve benefited me greatly by saving all of those $5 bills.
And yet, I cannot say that I would go back and change my behavior.
I enjoyed my 20’s for being able to spend an afternoon with myself parading around downtown Toronto without a care in the world.
