All the Things I can do in an Hour
How my Efficiency Has Changed post Baby
We see Marge, in the kitchen, sipping a glass of wine because: the dishwasher was running, the beds were made, the Roomba was running and essentially all housework was done and the day had just begun.
I sit here, writing this with my half cup of coffee because I have been able to drink that much this morning.
I remark to my husband that “this is the happiest morning of my life”.
I digress.
Since my baby is on the verge of 6 months her sleep has gotten better, including the dreaded day naps.
As a Mom, I’m aware of the specified wake windows. Babies need day sleep as much as they need a good night’s sleep.
I’m also lucky to live in Canada to be on maternity leave for a year (or longer if you choose).
But I’m also the person that needs to have a million things going on in order to feel productive.
I made a mental list of all of the things I want to do this morning.
The thought was quite overwhelming and left me wondering if I would end up on the couch scrolling through endless social media banter.
